Terry, that might be the case if they had a real candidate. But they don't. Look, there's quite a few of them who have complete celeb-style crushes for a substanceless maybe-candidate who didn't even finish *2* years of a single 4-year term.

He's starting it there because he thinks he can run a presidential campaign like a book tour. Appear, smile a lot, people give you money. He has no clue, and the people who have a clue just left his sinking ship.

Someone needs to point out to Newt that challenges are not 'endured'. They are MET. If he sees the presidential race as an endurance test, that may well explain why his staff bailed out.

I'd vote to bring the troops home from Afghanistan. I'm tired of seeing our money do down that rat hole, and killing our soldiers in the process. I see no sense in staying there when we need jobs and schools here! Support the troops- bring them home!

Get back on the horn, say "English please" repeatedly until they hand the phone over. If you really want care, you won't give up. (Sometimes I think that's their screening system...)

Problems? Really? I have a number of friends in the biz, and they say that Medicare and the VA are darn good systems, as is TriCare. The problems are in the insurance companies (execs taking home 7-figures), Big Pharma, and the huge medical care delivery corporations.

Wendy, no, your numbers are wrong. It was about 65% that wanted the bill. And the numbers went even higher if you broke it down into component parts. Which is why it won't be repealed. No one wants to have to discuss ditching the pieces on the record.
